Dr. T. Colin Campbell is the director of the largest epidemiological study ever done on nutrition.

Dr. T. Colin Campbell, Professor Emeritus of Nutritional Biochemistry at Cornell University, has shown without a doubt that animal protein is a major cause of cancer and many other chronic diseases. I believe his research should (and probably eventually will) be taught as a basic education to school children everywhere.

The China Study diet that is recommended is a very general whole food high carb diet, which happens to go against all this high animal protein nonsense being talked about today. The China Study discovered that what's more important is what's not in your diet, not what is. It just so happens that the results of Dr. Colin Campbell's work is right in line with the diet of every longevity society on Earth. These cultures, known as the blue zones, always eat vegan or nearly entirely vegan plant based diets.

Although T. Colin Campbell doesn't put as much emphasis on the importance of eating raw food, he does have a message about animal foods and their link to cancer and heart disease that everyone should hear. What surprises most people is how deadly the animal protein casein (which makes up 87% of cow's milk protein) is now the most carcinogenic food based nutrient known. This is why I recommend people shifting over to a plant based diet eliminate all dairy products before they eliminate the meat.
